100 Days On Since the DIP:
Turning Defence Investment into Delivery

Just over 100 days since the publication of the Defence Investment Plan, are we beginning to see the changes the UK defence sector expected?

This private, invitation-only roundtable brings together senior leaders from across the UK defence ecosystem to examine what is changing, where barriers remain, and what industry and government can do together to accelerate capability delivery.

Held under the Chatham House Rule, the session is designed to encourage open discussion, practical thinking and strengthen relationships across the defence community.

Why This Roundtable?
The Defence Investment Plan has clarified the UK’s defence priorities. More than 100 days on, the question is whether that intent is translating into meaningful change and faster delivery.

Are we seeing:
  • Greater and closer industry–MOD collaboration?
  • Improved innovation and willingness to take calculated risks?
  • Capability delivered at greater pace?
  • Faster and more effective procurement?
  • A growing and strengthening UK defence ecosystem?
Our previous roundtable explored the barriers to delivery. This time, the focus is on practical action: what can we do now to move the needle?

The session will bring organisations together to strengthen relationships and explore where collective action can make a difference.
Why This Roundtable?
Following on from the Strategic Defence Review 2025, Defence Industrial Strategy as well as subsequent publications (e.g. DIP) – there is a clear set of themes applicable to businesses in the Defence sector:
  • Greater and closer industry–MOD collaboration?
  • Improved innovation and willingness to take calculated risks?
  • Capability delivered at greater pace?
  • Faster and more effective procurement?
  • A growing and strengthening UK defence ecosystem?
